30th Anniversary Gala

CHICAGO will headline the 30^th Annual CHRISTUS Health Foundation of Southeast Texas Gala, set for Saturday, June 12^th 2010 at the Beaumont Civic Center. CHICAGO is the game changing world famous “rock 'n' roll band with horns”. They have had 20 Top Ten singles, 12 Top Ten albums (five of which were #1), and sales of more than 120 million records. In addition, they have also received a Grammy Award, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and continue to be a top live attraction, successfully touring throughout the U.S. and internationally every year.

Because of their unique sound and appeal across generations, this powerhouse performance is expected to be a sell out! The Foundation, along with Gala Chair, Shelley Tortorice, will pay tribute to Dr. James “Jimmy” Simmons, Beaumont’s own king of horns and the 2010 honoree. “For thirty years, individuals and businesses have provided a better, brighter and healthier future for the people of southeast Texas through their patronage of this annual benefit,” said Ivy Pate, CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Regional Vice President of Philanthropy. “This event ensures the vision of the Sisters of Charity to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ lives in the work of CHRISTUS Hospitals each and every day. The Foundation is truly grateful to our business and individual supporters for their contributions.”

The black tie benefit will begin with cocktails at 7 p.m. followed by a gourmet meal served at 8 p.m. Entertainment will begin at 9:30 p.m. Tables for eight start at $3000. Seating is limited. The CHRISTUS Health Foundation of Southeast Texas plays a vital role in bringing the latest advances in healthcare to our area. Past projects have included the CHRISTUS Outpatient Pavilion and Digital Mammography. Its success in philanthropy will assure the community that the vision of its founders, of high quality care that is accessible to those in need, will continue. CHRISTUS Health Foundation Southeast Texas supports the purchase of needed equipment and renovations at three area hospitals: CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth and St. Mary as well as CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital.
