Christus Health Foundation Southeast Texas

How We Help

The Foundation is currently working to fund one major project at each hospital as well as working to support Children's Miracle Network.

CHRISTUS Hospital - St. Elizabeth will be upgrading the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Each year, between 280 and 340 infants, almost 15% of the hospital’s births, use CHRISTUS Hospital - St. Elizabeth's Neonatal ICU. Newborns that experience difficulty are brought to the NICU, where they receive special medical attention for a few days or more.  This is the next phase of upgrading children’s services at CHRISTUS Hospital – St. Elizabeth.

CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital will undergo a much needed upgrade to expand the Emergency Department. This department houses the only trauma center in Jasper and must be ready at a moment’s notice. A modern design and new equipment will keep this department prepared to care for residents of and visitors to the lakes area.

CHRISTUS Hospital-St. Mary has the only pediatric unit in Port Arthur. After Hurricane Ike the unit that was schedule for an upgrade is now in dire need. The new unit will reflect healing, caring environment that is demonstrated in the specialized care available at the hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network The Foundation is an affiliate of Children’s Miracle Network. Each year medical equipment, building projects and individual assistance are granted to pediatric patients in CHRISTUS Hospitals in Beaumont, Port Arthur and Jasper. Funds raised in this area remain here to help our children.
