1st Associate Giving Campaign a Great Success! The Foundation is extremely grateful for a successful 1st Associate Giving Campaign. 833 Associates at CHRISTUS Hospital - St. Elizabeth and St. Mary as well as CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial contributed to the effort. In sixty eight hospital departments, 100% of Associates contributed to the campaign. The inaugural campaign generated $44,000 and illustrates the dedication of the Associates who already give so much of themselves to the health of their communities. The funds from the campaign will be utilized to support special projects at each hospital including: the renovation of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Elizabeth; the renovation of Pediatrics at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Mary; and the purchase of a new Fetal Monitoring System for CHRISTUS Jasper Memorial Hospital. The Associate Giving Campaign is another important step in funding these projects. Matching funds for these urgent needs are currently being sought. If you would like to help, you may make a contribution through this website. Memorial and honorary contributions are also accepted and will be acknowledged. What a wonderful way to honor a friend, relative, or caregiver! VALERO CONTRIBUTES $55,000 to CMN On November 17, 2009 in Port Arthur, Texas - The Children’s Miracle Network received $55,000 from employees of the Valero Port Arthur Refinery, who raised the funds through the 2009 Valero Texas Open and Benefit for Children Golf Classic in San Antonio, Texas. Valero Port Arthur Refinery employees joined CHRISTUS Health Southeast Texas, CMN and Foundation representatives in celebrating the agency’s success, and the success of the Valero Texas Open’s charity outreach efforts. Thanks to the generosity of Valero’s business partners and sponsors, the Valero Texas Open remains the most charitable tournament on the PGA TOUR. This year nationwide, Valero will distribute $8 million to children’s charities in the areas where it does business. Agencies selected to receive Benefit for Children dollars each year are recommended by Valero employees themselves. The funds presented today will be used to refurbish and upgrade the pediatric unit at CHRISTUS Hospital St. Mary in Port Arthur.
